This couple consists of a black man
and a white woman. They gave birth to twins. The uniqueness of the twins is
that one was black and the other was white. The couple face discrimination and are often asked questions like; Are they
related, are you babysitting, are you sure they have the same father, and some
even call the children mutts. It appears that discrimination is very loud in their
lives today.
I cannot understand this countries preoccupation with who you choose to love. It is embarrassing to think this is still an issue for people today. I am not a Christian, but what this church is doing doesn't ring very Christ like to me. Thank you for an excellent post. Sorry I meant to comment here earlier.
ReplyDeleteI think I mentioned in class one dark skinned Hispanic student I had, and she married a white person. They had three kids, two blond and very light, and one darker. The stories she told about how she was treated when the kids were growing up are horrible, similar questions, "are you their nanny", "are they adopted", and kids used to ask her white kids "who is that ni@##er with you" during things like youth soccer practices and games.
